About Rightsize

A neighbor who already knows how this works

Rightsize exists because too many Utah families make the biggest decision of their parent's later years with nothing but a Google search and a hospital discharge deadline.

Cory's story

Cory Wallberg has spent his career in Utah real estate, and for years the same thing kept happening. A family would call about selling a parent's home, and within ten minutes the conversation wasn't about the house at all. It was about a mother who kept falling. A father who couldn't be left alone anymore. Siblings who couldn't agree.

He'd hang up and start making calls on their behalf — a home care agency he trusted, a mover who was gentle with seniors, an attorney who could sort out a power of attorney quickly. Over time the calls became a network, and the network became the actual work.

Rightsize is that work, done deliberately. Cory meets with families across the Salt Lake Valley, runs a discovery consultation, and connects them to professionals he has vetted himself. He does it for free, and he intends to keep it that way.

Why the guidance is free

Families are never invoiced. Cory earns his living the way he always has — as a licensed Utah Associate Broker with Equity Real Estate — and through reciprocal referral relationships with other professionals who serve seniors.

That's the whole model, said plainly. If your family eventually sells a home and chooses Cory as your agent, he's paid a standard commission at closing, disclosed in writing. If you don't, the guidance was still free, and that's genuinely fine. Nobody is required to buy anything to get help here.

How Cory vets professionals

  • We meet them in person, on their turf — the community, the office, the job site.
  • We check licensing, insurance and standing with the state of Utah.
  • We ask about staff turnover, because turnover is the truest measure of how a place is run.
  • We send a family we care about and then follow up to hear how it actually went.
  • We remove anyone who stops answering the phone, gets pushy, or treats a family poorly. This happens.

You can read more about the categories of professionals in our network on the Vetted Partners page.

What you can expect

A conversation, not a pitch. Straight answers, including the ones that don't benefit us. A short list instead of a long one. And a phone number that a real person answers when you call it back three weeks later with one more question.
